Volkswagen Awarded 2016 IIHS Top Safety Pick+

The Insurance Institute for Highway Safety (IIHS) has selected the 2016 Jetta, Passat, Golf 4-Door, Golf GTI 4-Door, and Golf Sportwagen as being worthy of a 2016 Top Safety Pick+ when equipped with available Front Assist. Put simply, Front Assist is a state-of-the-art safety system designed to prevent front end collisions. The system utilizes multiple features to judge road conditions and help drivers stay safe. First, there’s the Front Collision Warning system, which alerts drivers both audibly and visually (via a dashboard warning light) to an imminent collision. Once the situation has been assessed and the driver warned, Front Assist is there to lend a helping hand. If the driver fails to break, Autonomous Emergency Braking will kick in. If the driver does brake, but doesn’t apply enough power, Braking Support is there to pick up the slack. Front Assist is just one of the ways Volkswagen works to keep you safe. Other great safety features include Adaptive Cruise Control, Blind Spot Monitor, Rear Traffic Alert, Park Pilot, and more.

Right now, we’re running a number of great specials on vehicles like the VW Jetta S, VW Passat S, and more. The Jetta offers drivers a choice between three turbocharged engines, with the 1.4L TSI® turbocharged engine coming standard, as well an optional sport-tuned suspension to get the most out of whichever engine you choose. Inside, drivers can opt for dual-zone climate control, interior ambient lighting, keyless access with push-button start, and more.

The redesigned Passat serves as an excellent midsize sedan for your family. Like the Jetta, a turbocharged engine comes standard, as does a 6-speed automatic transmission with sport mode. A touchscreen sound system and rearview camera system also come standard, with available VW Car-Net® App-Connect for drivers looking to make their ride a little more high-tech.

Come into Stone Mountain Volkswagen today to take these impressive vehicles for a spin!
